Forever Family Books

The first time I saw God Found Us You was this summer while walking around our downtown.  My family and I were at Child's Play Toys, a little boutique bookstore that makes you feel like you're in the movie You've Got Mail.  They even do a story time where children gather to share in a book.

Immediately I fell in love with the words of Lisa Bergren.  Her message brought warmth to my heart.  Although I didn't buy that book that day I knew that I would buy it, because I want my children to hear her words.

I have owned this book for a long time, before I even became a teacher.  I absolutely love it!  My children grab it from our classroom library all the time.  I know they enjoy the splashy illustrations done by Laura Cornell.  Some of the illustrations make my students laugh out loud.

Books that Celebrate Your Child

Many times I have bought On the Night You Were Born for a friend to celebrate her child's birth.  I love Nancy Tillman and the words she uses to describe the joy in each life.  Already I have purchased this book for our future children. (Actually my mom did for me since we live in Haiti.)
