Dr. Seuss' Birthday-My Preschoolers are reading enthusiasts!

March 2nd is the famous author, Dr. Seuss', birthday.  When I taught stateside we honored his birthday with Read Across America Day, which meant teachers encouraged their students to read.  I love books and love reading to children, so I couldn't miss this holiday just because I was in Haiti.

Today my students read Green Eggs and Ham and watched the 8 minute film.  The children watch movies at night before they go to bed, so they definitely know about movies.  This Green Egg and Ham film was really exciting though, because it was during the day.  Then the students spent some time reading independently.  Look how enthusiastic they were!  We read new books, so they were particularly engaged.  Then they ate green eggs on toast.  Eggs isn't a typical food item, so the kids called it a bon bon treat and exclaimed, "More please."
